Donald Henry Rumsfeld owes his ass to President George W Bush. When on September 11, 2001 Rumsfeld raised the United States offensive readiness-to DefCon 3, his actions were slow and unprofessional, he kept his brunch plans instead of scrambling jets. Rumsfeld is also responsible for the preemptive action of invading Iraq. As Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld has come under fire from critics who argue that his decision to detain alleged-enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay is a violation of the Geneva Convention and runs counter to American legal traditions. And when the US troops were deployed, Rumsfeld didn‘t deploy enough and didn‘t stop them from looting. LT. GEN. Gregory Newbold wrote in a Time magazine article published April 9, 2006, "My sincere view is that the commitment of our forces to this fight was done with a casualness and swagger that are the special province of those who have never had to execute these missions—or bury the results. The troops in the Middle East have performed their duty. Now we need people in Washington who can construct a unified strategy worthy of them." And during all of this, President George W Bush continues to support Rumsfeld. Bush is a robber-baron who is only in this Presidency for the fame and fortune. And as bad as Bush is, Rumsfeld still owes his job to W.
