AOL Sucks! [reparation: # 50]

AOL owe(s) Winamp Community

AOL sucks and they spoil everything they touch. Everyone knows that. Now they came after Winamp player. First they shut down radio indexing server and told the users that serving a small list is too much for biggest US internet company. Then they disabled user broadcasted video AT ALL!
Moderators on thier forum told everyone to shut up and eat shit as it is. Thousands of thier paid customers and winamp lovers are forced to upgrade thier players to newer version containing forced advertisement, bloated code and AOL spyware javascript everywhere.
Every search query is done on server I think because they‘re making themselves customized user profiles to send personalized ads and other spam.
The radio listing they deleted (official reason is high bandwidth usage) - have less size than thier spyware code added to returned results ALONE.
It works so bad that displaying a list of 50 radio stations eat up 100% cpu and takes a couple of seconds. The player hangs up all the time. Of course application was updated because "users wanted to". I think that AOL representatives and moderators think that thier customers are just a bunch of idiots, that can be forced to be spied upon and install thier "nice ideas" on thier desktops without questions. They apparently forget that winamp isnt great because it can play mp3 - as any shitty application can do. Winamp is great because of users community and privately run free radio stations.
Every day hundreds of thousands of winamp users provide entertainment to the rest of community.
It is very sad that to AOL thier "featured shit of the week" is much more important that thier dedicated broadcasters - so they hope to screw up all broadcasters that provide interesting and fun content, show thier shit instead and think that people will buy it!
The worst thing are forced adverts that they are going to add to every user streamed content. They wont pay a penny for that to anyone nor it‘ll cost them anything - but they will do it.
Its just a right time to open source community come with some alternative to AOL streaming monopoly!
